So the people I know who read this are tracy, pat and jake. It's funny because tracy already knows pretty much everything I'm going to talk about in here.

So we moved to Waltham. The place need some work as we need book shelves and a dresser and a whole bunch of things but we're working on it. In other news I'm going to be working for Adobe starting the monday after thanksgiving. I have the friday after turkeyday off now so the NC contingent of my readership should call me to get something setup since they will be in new england.

Other than that we will be in Woostah tomorrow to clean the old apartment and hopefully get the rest of our stuff out but that depends on my dad's availability.

So many changes in the world of Pete, oh yeah and Primus is Sunday.

So I'm back from the weekend. Tracy and I spent the weekend in NH with Bob & Jenny and the soon to be NC residents of Rockland Ave. It was a good weekend, cool but great weather for campfires.

Tracy and I did however mange to get lost on our way up since NH roads are sooooo well labeled. Bob helped put up everyone's tents apparently and was just very stoked about camping. we had interesting sausages and hotdogs on friday night and some marshmallows and s'mores. Saturday was a pretty lazy day. Tracy and I got up and got showered then made some breakfast. Pat and Kate went out for breakfast and got some groceries. Bob and Jenny beingt he last ones up braved a diner in the Keene area then went to the blueberry festival, which tracey and I saw but since we were on ahunt for an ATM decided to forgo.

Saturday afternoon we all napped then got up and made a campfire a nice roaring one too for the majority of the night. Everyone had a few drinks and was a little toasty.

Sunday we packed it all up and went home after some $2.00 pancakes with $7.00 syrup and soem grilled muffins.

Now this morning is work again, and for some reason my exhaust is hanging down yet again. thankfully it's not really hanging enough to get caught on anything but it needs to get fixed before I can get an inspection sticker. Blarg!

So I haven't acutally blogged in quite a while....

So lets see Tracy had a birthday, we went to the flying rhino for dinner and then went away the weekend after to Kenebunkport, ME.

While in ME we shopped around Kenebunkport thenwent back to our camp and started a fire and had some dinner. We did however pickup Tracy some sunglasses that she really likes.

On our way home we stopped in at kittery since this was her first visit to Maine. While there we got her some work clothes.

She started her new job last Monday and so far so good. I think she will really enjoy it once everything starts going. Yay for sciency sales. Last weekend we went out to dinner on friday with the ever elusive Waffles and his new girl Jen. Who I will add is very nice. On saturday Tracy and I went to Kung Fu and found that the Sifu's had a tree knocked down by a microburst on Wednesday . It was a huge pignut tree, thankfully it didn't fall on their house and didn't fall on anyone in particular. We went to class then farted around the house then went to Dad's house to go out to dinner.
My father and Bea brought me and Tracy out to O'connors for dinner I had chicken soprano and Tracy had pecan encrusted chicken. Afterwards we hung out with them and played cards till about 10pm. Tracy and I then went home and ended up watching Capote which as it turns out was a very very good movie.

On Sunday we went to Spring Lake to visit with my grandparents, Joe Bigs was supposed to come with us but was too tired. We stopped at the Gap then went to starbucks then out to the lake. It was a beuatiful day and the water was like 80 degrees. We swam to the rock and hung out. We were joined by my uncle chris and his wife and kids. Then we came home and went promptly to bed.

Other than that it's status quo until friday when we will go camping with the Rockland Ave Folks and Bob & Jenny.

What To Do if Trapped on an Escalator

Rising oil costs are forcing companies around the U.S. to curtail non-essential energy consumption, creating the potential for every employee’s worst nightmare: Getting stuck on an escalator between floors. Terrifying, yes, but don’t panic. Just follow these simple Emergency Escalator Evacuation Procedures (or EEEP!) until help arrives.
1. Keep one hand on the railing at all times. If you don’t, you could become lost and then no one will ever be able to find you. Ever.
2. Be aware that loose shoelaces can become trapped in escalator steps, which might then suck you under. Then you belong to the CHUDs.
3. Imagine what movie star would play the role of you in a miniseries based on your trapped-on-an-escalator story. If you imagine anyone other than Mark-Paul Gosselaar, you're wrong.
4. Locate the emergency shut-off button. It may come in handy on speeding escalators if there’s ever an energy surplus.
5. Immediately and without provocation, eat anyone trapped on the escalator with you. They’re probably already sizing you up for a meal anyway. Also, make sure your company has a “hiring from within” policy before devouring immediate superiors.
6. Stand to the right so others may pass.
7. Conserve energy by shutting down your own non-essential bodily activities, like blinking or hearing.
8. Use a pen to tattoo your blood type on your chest in case rescuers find you passed out and in need of blood.
9. Create a diversion by throwing some pennies across the room and then calmly activate the silent alarm.
10. Most important: Watch out for ZUNE. He’s coming.

In other news her parents left yesterday after their New England Extravaganza. Really they were just camping in Webstah, hey. We had fun with them Tracy brought them into Boston last thursday and we were all supposed to go to the Celtic Festival on Saturday to see Enter the Haggis but well it was a little wet and Tracy, Joe and myself were the only ones to brave the weather. ETH played a great set then we went back to the campsite to hang out. We also were joined this weekend by Karen and Gretchen 2 of Tracy's good friends.

Sunday we got over to Wood, Jenny, and Scott's place for a little BBQ and games. Other than that Tracy starts her job next monday and we are going to Maine this weekend to get away from people. Talk to you all soon.

Monday Morning

It's another Monday joy of all joys...Hopefully today will be less than busy. I'm in the Fenway area all week so we'll see how it goes.

In other news tomorrow is July 4th and I'm going to my grandparents place to grill and swim. I'm hoping we can forgo any and all thunderstorms and just have a day like today so I can be in the water.

In other news me and Tracy have a storage unit for our boxes and miscellaneous schtuff. I would really like for her to get the job in Norton as a recuiter. She would be great at the job and it would be convenient for commuting. She's moving up in 2 weeks and I would like her to have a job to start.

Other than that Dunkin Donuts is the WORST, most EVIL place. ever, they gave me a blueberry iced coffee this morning, it was probably the most unbelievably gross stuff ever.

Also for some reason old friends have been coming up from the woodwork and sending me messages via email and myspace.

Camping is coming up soon and I cannot wait.

ok so I'm pretty nervous right now. Tracy is in her interview for a scientific recuiter position I would really like to be in the room with her to see what's going on. I have my fingers crosses and I'm hoping with everything I have right now that she lands this job. It would be a good job for her and I think she would really enjoy doing it. ok I need to calm down.

I'm just a little bit pissed right now because some dickless son of a bitch decided to break into my car and steal my stereo and jack up my ignition. so now I have no tunes and my car has a hard time starting. general displeasure

So this was my weekend in NYC. I spend every few weeks there, thankfully it was much more dry and warm there. Both tracy and I got a little sunburned(her more than I because well she's irish and I'm just not.) but we had a great day in the Prospect Park. I showed her some basics with kung fu. It's going to take a lot of drilling but I think she can get it. I do dislike the fact that my weekends with her feel shorter and shorter, I really do just want to be able to spend more time with her. Hopefully we can get her a job here soon. I came home to rain and it's supposed to rain for the next week pretty much. Which is just crappy. I really do want to have her here all the time.

In other annoying news I really wanted to go see Tool on this tour and I don't think I can.

Ok enough for the bitching. I need to do something.

Pai Lum has been a part of who I have been for almost 4 years. I started in late may of 2002. Since then I have prgressed from being a big guy who if the need arose could tussle with the best of them with no grace of motion to someone with balance and more poise and lot more self confidence. Right now I feel like I have taken several steps back in regards to my training though. I need to re-commit and make this work for me. I know I can only get to like 1 class a week if that right now but I need this. So if anyone who knows sees me online ask me why I'm not working on my forms or on stances. I need to get better and to do so I need to work HARD. Please bug me ask me what I did to improve myself today. Please. So now I'm going to start waking up earlier I have been getting up at 5:30 this week I need to get up at 5 to get a half hour of work in. Then I need to do some when I get home. I need to improve myself.

10,000 Days

So,
For all those who do not know 10,000 Days, Tool's new album came out yesterday. There are very few artists I will run out to buy on their release date. Tool and Aperfect Circle are both among them. So the first thing I noticed about the CD was the album artwork, it is interesting. The Alex Grey works they used were definately typical for our favorite Progressive Rock group. The 3d portion of the liner is very cool. I do not however like the sleeve that the cd is meant to be put in and taken out of. they typically scratch the cd after a very short usage. on first listen I thought that my favorite track would be "Jimba". It's edgy and grinding but as I listen to the album more and more I find myself digging "The Pot". The single is the first song on the album which is good and bad. Good because it gets the single right out of the way so you can listen to the real meat of the album. Bad because many people will buy the album and never listen past track one. As anyone who knows me understand I truely love listening to Tool so this review should not be a surprise to you.

The only thing is that I want to goto the orpheum show more than anything but the tickets sold out in 6.5 minutes and I cannot even afford 1 ticket at the price they are going for. Oh well hopefully they will do a larger venue tour after this one and I'll get to see them then.

weddings and general silliness.

This weekend was filled with the wedding for my friends Katie and Jay. It was an all around good time, the open bar was great. I got to drink brandy all night. Unfortunately they could not serve it neat, only on the rocks...which was a little crazy.

The wedding was at the assumption chapel which unfortunately was very boring. All I can think of at Catholic weddings is "Mawidge, Mawidge is what bwings us togever today"(if you need to have this quote explained let me know so I can beat you over the head, "My way" with a big rock). The reception was at The Manor in West Boylston the food was good and the bar was decent, the dj was fairly good and mostly everyone was soooo white it hurt. We were quite silly but everyone I think had fun.

in the middle of the reception some of us stole away to have Jay smoke a cigar, his first cigar in fact. Tracy and I got an 8 pack of Macanudos. So Herself, Me, Dij, Jay, Andy, Shawn(the best man) and Jay's dad all had a very nice cigar. They are so good with a little brandy...All in all it was a good night.

So I hope anyone reading who was there had fun as well.

our Fantastic Government and the price of Gas

So as everyone can tell the price of gasoline has almost come to the point of selling your soul to Satan. Now our wonderful government and all of it's wisdom is proposing a $100 rebate to ease the cost of gas at the pump.

You don't beleive me see for yourself.

Now tell me what the hell $100 is going to do when most people spend that on gas in 2 days. so for 2 days it'll be nice but then guess what John Q. Consumer your screwed. While all the fat cats on capital hill are still driving their Chevy Subdivisions getting .05 miles per gallon while they eat filet mignon and wipe their mouths with the amreican flag. This rebate is more insulting than anything else. I would like to reach out and grab said person who proposed this rebate and throttle him. A better use of this money would be to increase public transportation in smaller cities since that is where the majority of people drive. Percentage wise it would make the most effective use of this money or give a rebate to people who use public transportation since that may entice people to use it. Set up areward for these people since they are actually making the strive to do something for our environment.

So one of my favorite bands will be playing in Sutton MA, at the Blackstone Valley Celtic Festival. I think they'll be one of the last bands on that day so it should be a good time. Hopefully I'll be able to take them in this time since they'll be that goddamn close to my house. Anyway I must get back to work.
